EXCEED RESEARCH NETWORK

ERN is an international disability and Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) research consortium co-ordinated by Exceed Worldwide. The Network involves universities, NGOs and private sector organisations from Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Ireland, Norway, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, UK and USA.

The Network is a unique and supportive group which currently includes representatives from 15 universities, 3 NGOs and 3 private sector organisations, including a leading international Prosthetic and Orthotic company.

ERN’S Purpose

ERN is an international disability and Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) research consortium co-ordinated by Exceed Worldwide. The Network involves universities, NGOs and private sector organisations from Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Ireland, Norway, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, UK and USA.

Research Interests and Expertise

The range of interests and expertise within ERN means that the group is well placed to address a wide range of disability, P&O, policy, research design, research methodology, research operation, product development and route to market issues.

 ERN includes eminent researchers and practitioners from academic, industry and service delivery backgrounds. It is a multi-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary and cross-sector group, with a wide range of research interests and experience which include:

ERN Research Strategy

ERN has developed a broad research strategy for Prosthetic and Orthotic (P&O) Provision in lower and middle income countries. This baseline document looks at a multi-faceted challenge and identifies the areas of focus, strategic themes and research issues which need to be addressed in relation to P&O service provision in lower and middle income countries. This is a work in progress and work to refine this initial piece of work and to develop the Network continues.
